Toiletry Drive for Canonsburg Food Bank

Below is a message from Meadowbrook Cares:

Meadowbrook Cares “Toiletry Items Drive” for the Canonsburg Food Bank

Meadowbrook Cares is hosting a Toiletry Items Drive to help a local friend, Drew Engel, with his collection of items for the Canonsburg Food Bank.

Please consider donating any personal hygiene/toiletry items- shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc. Paper products are also needed.

*Meadowbrook Cares will be collecting items starting Wednesday, November 27 through Sunday, December 15.
*A bin will be placed at 542 Bluegrass Drive on the front porch for your convenience.
*We will take donations at the Meadowbrook Clubhouse on Wednesday, December 11th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. If this doesn’t work for you please contact us at mbcares15317@gmail.com to make arrangements for us to pick the items up from you!

Meadowbrook Cares ran this drive last year to help Drew and we are hoping to have an even more successful one this year! Thank you!

Snow Removal

It’s getting to be that time of year again, and I’d like to inform you that Meadowbrook has a new snow removal contractor. We’ve contracted Growing Seasons Landscaping for the next three winters.

Carriage home owners, please be sure not to block the single lane driveway that goes to the rear of the unit.

Townhome owners, please be sure to park only in garages or your individual driveways. Please do not park in the common shared driveway. This rule is enforced year-round, but is especially important in the winter.

We think this transition will be as smooth as possible, but please contact Omni if you have any questions or concerns.

Stay warm!

Trash

Please remember to properly contain your garbage in a can with a secure lid as to avoid attracting raccoons.

Thank you!

Tree Limbs

I’d just like to take a moment to remind everybody that homeowners are responsible for maintaining the oak and other large trees on their property. If you have a sidewalk along Meadowbrook Drive for public use, you will need to make sure that there is 7-8 feet of clearance above the sidewalk. Failing to do so puts people who walk at risk. The reason that we ask for 7-8 feet is that the branches can get weighed down with snow in the winter. If you have any questions about this, please contact Omni.

Thank you!

Halloween Party

No Solicitors

Recently, we have had complaints of soliciting within Meadowbrook. I spoke with the North Strabane Township Manager who confirmed that Meadowbrook is excluded from any solicitation permit issued by the Township. His advice was to call the police if somebody is found to be soliciting in Meadowbrook.

However, with elections coming up, it’s important to note that political canvassing does NOT count as soliciting. Political canvassing is a protected 1A activity and cannot be banned in a community.

Roof Replacement

The roof replacement project will begin next week. Roofers from Prescott Roofing will start at 1200 Meadowbrook Drive and work their way down, covering all of the buildings that received letters. Please make sure all belongings are removed from the rear deck. There may be a loss of driveway access during the day depending on where the roofers place the scaffolding, but they will work with you to make sure you are able to get in and out, and will not leave driveways inaccessible at night.

Thanks and let us know if you have any questions.

Upcoming Sealcoating

The following areas will be sealcoated on Monday:

1. 300 – 321 Winners Circle
2. 1020 – 1040 Royal Drive
3. 1046 – 1070 Royal Drive
4. Meadowbrook Clubhouse upper parking lot and driveway
5. Guest parking pad at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Carriage Way
6. Woodland Meadows Park parking lot

If you live in the units on Winners Circle or Royal Drive, please have any car you plan to use out of your garage by 8 AM and park on the street for 24 hours after sealcoating.

All others, please avoid parking in the clubhouse upper parking lot, guest parking area at Meadowbrook and Carriage, or the Woodland Meadows Park parking lot.

If there is inclement weather, this work will be pushed back by a day.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Fieldbrook Drive Asphalt Work

Hello,

If you received notice that your service drive would be patched on Fieldbrook Drive, please note that work will take place on Monday, August 5, 2019.

Please have any vehicle you intend to use that day parked on the street in front by 8 AM. Please leave enough room by the corners of the access drive for large vehicles to make the turn.

Sealcoating will take place at a later date and notice will be sent.

Thank you!
